Urgent Situations (Not Life-Threatening)
Go to the health clinic during its hours of operation. If the health clinic is closed, go to your private physician or a neighborhood walk-in center. If the condition can wait until the next day and the clinic is open, call and make an appointment the very next morning.
If unable to call, then simply go to the health clinic on either campus. You will be seen by a registered nurse whom will triage your care to the appropriate health care provider (based on availability). Emergency Center Contact Information
Certified Poison Control Centers in Florida
The three poison control centers in Florida are certified by the American Board of Poison Control Centers. All are open 24 hours a day. Each has a medical director and pharmacists and/or nurses available for your emergency questions regarding poisoning episodes. We recommend that you keep a printed copy of the information below and keep it near your home and business phones for quick access in the event of a poison emergency.
